Starting with the blessed name of Allah.
I initially sat down only to write about “Where is Allah?” or “Where is God?” However, when explaining this topic, arguments can be drawn from various religions and philosophies. As I began, two major questions arose: How was the universe created? Is the Big Bang Theory right or wrong? And did humans evolve from chimpanzees according to Darwin’s theory?
Where is Allah?
There are three major faiths that got special books from God: Judaism with the Torah, Christianity with the Gospel, and Islam with the Quran. Over time, the Jews and Christians changed their books, but the Quran has stayed exactly the same as when it was first given. So, we’ll be talking about this topic using the Quran as our guide.
According to the Quran, Allah is on the **Throne (‘Arsh)**. There are seven heavens. Science regards the entire universe as space, and scientists have not found a physical “sky” or heaven anywhere. However, this is not the case. In reality, we have not yet developed scientific instruments advanced enough to observe all of God’s creations. This is our own limitation, not a flaw in God’s design. Allah has repeatedly encouraged us to reflect upon the earth and the heavens. It is our own lethargy that we haven’t aligned our inventions with divine teachings to understand His system and show His greatness to the common man.
So, there are these seven levels of heaven. The first one is what we can see, it’s called the “Lowest Heaven” or Asman-e-Dunya. Then there are six more above it, each one stacked on top of the other. And at the very top, above the seventh heaven, is the Throne, or ‘Arsh.
A Major Misconception Among Sects (Sufis)
The Quran has a really important verse called *Ayat al-Kursi*, which talks about the “Kursi”, or the Chair or Footstool of Allah. But when we study this verse, we should be careful not to think that there’s actually a physical chair where Allah sits. That’s not what it means at all. According to the authentic Hadiths, the *Kursi* is something that Allah created, and it’s shaped like a ring. It’s placed in front of the Throne, and the Prophet (PBUH) used a really helpful example to describe how big it is compared to the Throne. He said that the *Kursi* is like a small ring that’s been thrown into a huge desert – it’s tiny in comparison. And if the *Kursi* is already bigger than the whole universe, the heavens and the earth, just imagine how enormous the Throne must be. It’s almost impossible to wrap your head around. The idea is that the *Kursi* is a creation of Allah, and it’s not just a simple object, but something that’s connected to the Throne in a way that’s hard for us to understand. So, when we read about the *Kursi* in the Quran, we should try to remember that it’s not just a physical thing, but a symbol of Allah’s power and greatness.
So, people might wonder, what’s the size of Allah? But thinking about this is actually a bad idea, a whisper from Satan. In Islam, it’s simple: Allah is the greatest, and He’s above everything He created. Asking about His size is considered wrong and a new, unwanted idea. The friends of the Prophet never asked these questions, they just listened and believed. And the important Muslim leaders have said that asking these questions is actually misleading.

Does God Exist?
To understand this, we must look at the **Big Bang Theory**.
Those who are irreligious (Atheists) believe the universe started from zero—meaning there was no time, no mass, only nothingness. Then, a sudden massive explosion occurred, and the universe came into being. Is this correct? Even scientifically, this is flawed. The scientific method begins with a hypothesis, which is then tested through repeated experiments. A theory is formed only when results are consistent. The Big Bang cannot be experimented upon even once, let alone repeatedly. Thus, calling it a “theory” is incorrect; it is merely a hypothesis.
In the beginning, there was nothing, but Allah was always there. His presence was felt even before the earth and sky were made. According to Islamic teachings, Allah’s Throne was floating above water, a sight to behold. The first thing to be created was the Pen, a mighty instrument that wrote down everything that would happen until the end of time. This was the blueprint for destiny, a plan that would unfold with precision. After that, the heavens and the earth were brought into being. From an Islamic point of view, the idea of a scientific “beginning” is not entirely accurate. It’s more meaningful to accept the truths that Islam has revealed to us. By doing so, we can gain a deeper understanding of the world and our place in it. The concept of time and creation is complex, and Islam offers a unique perspective on it. By embracing this perspective, we can broaden our knowledge and appreciate the beauty of Allah’s creation.

## Did Humans Evolve from Chimpanzees?
Atheists often look to Charles Darwin’s **Theory of Evolution** for answers about how we got here. This theory says that humans and chimpanzees share a common ancestor. It all started when the Earth was formed, and it was mostly covered in water, kind of like it is today. Then, lightning in the air helped atoms come together to form molecules, which eventually turned into bigger molecules. Over time, these molecules became simple life forms, like single-celled RNA viruses that could make copies of themselves. From there, bacteria emerged, and eventually, more complex life forms with many cells developed.
From a scientific standpoint, this idea just doesn’t add up. If it were a natural law, we should see it happening all the time. But we don’t. There’s no proof in history or in fossils that a chimpanzee can turn into a human. In fact, when we look at the genetics, there’s a big gap between the two species – what’s often called the “Missing Link.” I’ll be exploring this topic in more detail later on.
Conclusion
According to Islamic belief, God ordered the angels to gather soil from the earth, and from this soil, He created Adam, the first human being. This means that humans were directly created by God, and their existence is not just a random result of natural events.
